"The Guru Granth Sahib's (Holy Book of Sikh Religion) teachings on karma and divine grace can help survivors process survivor's guilt. The understanding that life and death are part of a larger divine plan, and that one's survival is not a matter of personal worthiness, can help alleviate the burden of guilt. Survivor's guilt is a feeling of guilt or shame experienced after surviving a traumatic event where others did not survive It can manifest as a sense of undeserved luck, feeling like one has done something wrong to have survived, or being unable to accept the loss of others. This feeling can be accompanied by PTSD symptoms."
