Thoughts for the day!
"When
you call yourself an Indian or a Muslim or a Christian or a European,
or anything else, you are being violent. Do you see why it is violent?
Because you are
separating yourself from the rest of mankind. When you separate
yourself by belief, by nationality, by tradition, it breeds violence. So
a man who is seeking to understand violence does not belong to any
country, to any religion, to any political party or
partial system; he is concerned with the total understanding of
mankind."
Jiddu Krishnamurti
Jiddu Krishnamurti;
12 May 1895 – 17 February 1986) was an Indian philosopher, speaker and writer. In his early life he was groomed to be the new
World Teacher
but later rejected this mantle and withdrew from the Theosophy
organization behind it. His interests included psychological revolution, the nature of mind,
meditation, inquiry, human relationships,
and bringing about radical change
in society. He stressed the need for a revolution in the psyche
of every human being and emphasised that such revolution cannot be
brought about by any external entity, be it religious, political, or
social.
Krishnamurti was born in India. In early adolescence he had a chance encounter with
occultist and
theosophist
Charles Webster Leadbeater
in the grounds of the Theosophical Society
headquarters at Adyar in
Madras. He was subsequently raised under
the tutelage of Annie Besant
and
Leadbeater, leaders of the Society at the time, who believed him to be a
'vehicle' for an expected World Teacher. As a young man, he disavowed
this idea and dissolved the
Order of the Star in the East,
an organisation that had been established to support it.
"No
body has a right to choose parents,It's Almighty God's will that you
are born in a particular Religion and strata of Society.Religion
consists of Three parts. The upper third is the publicity wing of
religion to attract people to their religion attributing supernatural
events to their gods. The middle third are the Ritual suggesting ways to
reach the Ultimate,The bottom third, the quintessence of all religions, is the same,Listen to inner voice,Do Good feel Good,Do bad feel bad!"
