She was a visionary leader who started her own non-cooperation movement in 1930, challenging the might of the British Empire in the Naga-inhabited regions. on January 26, 1915, Rani Gaidinliu joined her cousin Haipou Jadonang's movement at the age of 13 to drive out the British from Manipur.
