His daughter, Sara, said,
"Daddy, its unfortunate you are dying without a penny in your bank..
Other fathers' that you tag as being corrupt, thieves of public funds left houses and properties for their children; even this house we live in is a rented apartment..
Sorry, I can't emulate you, just go, let's chart our own course..
Few moments later, their father gave up the spirit..
Three years later, Sara went for an interview in a multinational company..
At interview the Chairman of the committee asked,
"Which Smith are you..??"
Sara replied,
"I am Sara Smith. My Dad Tom Smith is now late.."
Chairman cuts in,
"O my God, you are Tom Smith's daughter..?"
He turned to the other members and said,
"This Smith man was the one that signed my membership form into the Institute of Administrators and his recommendation earned me where I am today. He did all these free. I didn't even know his address, he never knew me. He just did it for me.."
He turned to Sara,
"I have no questions for you, consider yourself as having gotten this job, come tomorrow, your letter will be waiting for you.."
Sara Smith became the Corporate Affairs Manager of the company with two Cars with Drivers, A duplex attached to the office, and a salary of £1,00,000 per month excluding allowances and other costs..
After two years of working in the company, the MD of the company came from America to announce his intention to resign and needed a replacement. A personality with high integrity was sought after, again the company's Consultant nominated Sara Smith..
In an interview, she was asked the secret of her success,,
With tears, she replied, "My Daddy paved these ways for me. It was after he died that I knew that he was financially poor but stinkingly rich in integrity, discipline and honesty".
She was asked again, why she is weeping since she is no longer a kid as to miss her dad still after a long time..
She replied, "At the point of death, I insulted my dad for being an honest man of integrity. I hope he will forgive me in his grave now. I didn't work for all these, he did it for me to just walk in".
So, finally she was asked, "Will you follow your father's foot steps as he requested ?"
And her simple answer was, "l now adore the man, I have a big picture of him in my living room and at the entrance of my house. He deserves whatever I have after God".

Dr Vijaypat Singhania, who built Raymond Ltd into one of the largest apparel brands in the country before handing over the business to his son Gautam, is today a bitter man residing in a rented row house in south Mumbai's upscale Grand Paradi society.
Two days after Mumbai Mirror reported that he had filed a petition in the Bombay High Court seeking possession of a duplex in the redeveloped 36-storey JK House on Malabar Hill, his lawyer told the court on Wednesday that the retired tycoon was struggling financially.
JK House was a 14-storey structure when it was unveiled in 1960. Four duplexes in the building were later handed over to a Raymond subsidiary Pashmina Holdings. In 2007, the company decided to go in for redevelopment.
Akshaypat has submitted an independent petition, in the Bombay High Court staking claim to their apartments.
Senior Advocate Dinyar Madon, who is representing Vijaypat along with law firm Bachubhai Munim and Co., told the court that while the 78-year-old gave away all his wealth to his son, the son is now driving "him out of everything."
Madon said Dr Singhnia gave up all his shares in the company worth around Rs 1000 crore in his son's favour, but now he has been left to fend for himself by Gautam. "They are trying to squeeze him (Dr Singhania) now. All his perks - like a car and a driver -- have been taken away," Madon said.

Vijaypat Singhania (Left& Right) says son Gautam( Center) has reduced him to hand-to-mouth
life
One of India's richest men, who spent more than two decades dressing up
the Indian male, is now broke, and by his own admission is living a
"hand-to-mouth" existence. And he blames only one person for this - his
son.Dr Vijaypat Singhania, who built Raymond Ltd into one of the largest apparel brands in the country before handing over the business to his son Gautam, is today a bitter man residing in a rented row house in south Mumbai's upscale Grand Paradi society.
Two days after Mumbai Mirror reported that he had filed a petition in the Bombay High Court seeking possession of a duplex in the redeveloped 36-storey JK House on Malabar Hill, his lawyer told the court on Wednesday that the retired tycoon was struggling financially.

People who are not going to change are
going to fall by the wayside, says Gautam Hari Singhania, Chairman &
Managing Director, Raymond, the man in the news after media flashed a
story about how his father and the company's founder
has become broke and now lives in a rented house.
True
leaders don't invest in buildings. Jesus never built a building. They
invest in people. Why? Because success without a successor is failure.
So your legacy should not be in buildings, programs,
or projects; your legacy must be in people.

Where Vijaypat erred is that he
could not understand the purpose of Life.No body has right to choose
parents. The Purpose of life as given by Guru Nanak is 'Wund Chhkna' That
means, 'Haves' should help' Have Nots' and
'Privileged' should help 'Under Privileged' and 2nd point is
Non-Gardening of Relationship and Friendship.'We two, our one' is our
life style,We live Not in Apartments but in Compartments, someone Else's
entry ban of Friends and relatives . This is the urban
life. Two neighbours live with years, but don't know the name of each
other. He gave everything to his son except 'Sanskaars'!
